A Horrible Update

I was having a dicussion with Zeeba the other night about the finer points of dork, geek, and nerd, because I am without doubt at least one of these things. I think we determined that dork, while generally implying less intelligence than nerd, was more fun to say than the others. Plus it has the additional meaning of penis, so, yeah, okay. Dork it is.

And to illustrate my dorkiness (or geekiness or nerdiness), I have to say that I am very excited about this one week only internet miniseries event - Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog!

It was created by Joss Whedon (who done brung us Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and stars Neil Patrick Harris (who has rallied a lot from the days when he was some lame emo 16 year old doctor on Doogie Howser, MD and has shown himself to be a comedic genius portraying some version of himself in Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle and as Barney on How I Met Your Mother. And he was also in that other Harold and Kumar flick, which I have not seen, but I guess he rides a unicorn. Not a euphemism.)

So, yes. I am a dork, but you can bet that when this thing streams on Tuesday, I will be there watching it. Or cursing at the computer because lots of other people are trying to watch it at the same time, thereby choking the bandwidth and making it fail to run properly for me.

Because I am guessing that I'm not the only dork excited about this thing.

Damn it.
